Yesterday I got almost everything done I needed to - and then some. Added to the list of packing for the family, cleaning the living room, cleaning the car, working at my job, taking care of my son - was take the car through the car wash (with the dog which was quite funny), fix a virus problem on my Dad's computer and then go out to dinner and spend the evening (until 12-ish) with my very best friend. Those things were extras! How do we Mom's do it!

Anyway - a little tired and headachy today and just finished working out. If you could call it that. I stalled and rested whenever I could. I work out MWF 6:30-7:30 with my husband a personal trainer at my house. Two years after having gastric bypass and losing 100lbs, I was still not exercising, so I made a commitment to a personal trainer for a year. Two years later, now my husband works out with me and the trainer and he loves it too. Our health is worth the price.

Great time chatting best friend/mommy talk with Liz. She's the best. I always laugh loudest with her. I always find comfort and understanding in a friendship that is 33 years strong and growing. I very lucky to have her in my life. She's the balls!

Won't blog this weekend while away - although we're bringing the laptop with us and should be able to find wifi. (Is that right? It looks weird). Hope to start reading the Well Trained Mind book for homeschooling idea's and knowledge. Plus I hope to nap. I love to nap. When I retire plan to garden, read and nap. Not really garden that much, mostly read and nap. Ahhhh, heaven!

ciao!
Just ME!

Dreamt about Blogging!

Day 2 - I spent the whole night dreaming about blogging. Sometime I think I'm insane. I've decided for the time being to be a closet blog writer, but censor myself enough that if I decide to come out of the closet, my parents (yes I'm 37) could still read my blog and I would not be disinherited.

Lots to do today to get ready for trip tomorrow. Leaving early as it looks as if the weather won't be wonderful Sat/Sun so we'll try to get some go-karting in tomorrow. WOOHOO! Love go-karts. I also love Splinter Cell on xBox 360. Glad I'm a mom to a boy. It helps.

Anyone listen/read Wayne Dyer. I am becoming addicted. Positive Thinking Baby! That's what its all about. I believe it. Whenever I think positively or visualize what I want to happen or open my mind and doors to things becoming a reality, they do! And I've actually always lived my life that way, but didn't know it. My siblings and my husband call me the Golden Child, because things always seem to work out for me. Not that I haven't had some bad stuff too, but I've always just had the feeling that everything will be ok, and that I can make everything ok. Who knew, it was called positive thinking!

BTW-I love my computer. I love the internet. I love using my computer to be on the internet. It's a good thing.

Happy Trails!
Just ME!

I Did It!

Holy Crap! I created a blog. I think. Will it ever fly through the air and reach out to others? Who knows. Who cares. Well I do, but for now, I'm just happy I'm typing and not still hunched over my desk trying to figure out where to start a blog.

I'm scared. Buyer's remorse is setting in. I'll get over it I know. I deal with buyers remorse in my business. My husband and I are REALTORS®. There is no bigger Buyer's Remorse than the 24 hours after signing a contract to purchase a property. Trust me, it's what we do. We even get buyer's remorse when we buy a property. It's normal, it's healthy, everyone feels it. Get over it!

Ok, my first post. Here is a bit about me. I'm 37. Mother of one - a son age 8 3/4. (He will be 9 on 10/24). Step-mother to two - ages 20 & 14. Adopted mother to one - a schnoodle - age 3. Wife to one (currently - previous short lived marriage from ages 23-25; what was I thinking!). Daughter to two, sister to three, friend to many (I hope).

This year I am going to start homeschool my son. I'm very excited about our decision to embark on this journey, and feel it will be like coming home. (Hence the term home-schooling, I guess.) Anyway....school started in our town today, but we didn't. Tad scary. Deep breath, deep breath. Ok. Just a little nervous I am going to totally screw him up. I don't think I will, but still you never know.

I work from home. I now teach my child from home. I live at home - surprising huh! Thank goodness I love my home! It's my haven. And since I gave up the cleaning lady to hire an assistant for my husband so that I have more time to home school, I have become a cleaning slave too, but so far I'm enjoying it. No one cleans your house like you do! Although it was nice for a year to let someone else try. :-)

I don't know how much I should write on this first blog. Anyone out there...a little help. I don't want to offend anyone, although I could. I don't want to bore anyone, I'm sure I will. I don't really know what I'm doing, but I will figure it out.

So, tomorrow I meet with another homeschooling Mom in my town and get some "pointers". I can't wait! Then I need to clean the mini-van or as I like to call it the family-truckster! We're going away for our annual Labor Day weekend trip. YAAAA! More on that later.

I guess I should end it there - as my blood sugar is raging from the 4 mini-peppermint patties I ate - I'm a gastric bypass patient - 4 years out a LOVIN' IT! But shouldn't eat that crap - so now I need some protein to even things out.

Peace Out!
